Common Questions

Why isn't text being recognized?

Make sure the document is well-lit and in focus. OCR works best with printed text. Handwritten text is supported but may have lower accuracy depending on legibility.

What languages are supported?

Text recognition supports multiple languages. The app automatically detects the language.

Where are my scans stored?

All scans are stored locally on your device. You can export them to the Files app for long-term storage or backup.

Can I scan multiple pages?

Yes. After capturing a page, you can continue scanning more pages. They will all be combined into a single PDF when you tap Done.

How does smart file naming work?

The app analyzes the text in your document to extract the date, company name, and document type. It then suggests a filename like "2025-01-15 Apple Inc Invoice.pdf". You can always edit the suggested name.
